a hip new restaurant
a local architecture firm approached us to collaborate on the visioning and concept for a hot new restaurant in the denver suburbs. the inspiration for the restaurant is the wine country in california, which helped inform the materiality and spacial qualities we are hoping to create. we wanted to create multiple outdoor experiences, each with a different scale and character. one area features large shade trees and a water feature to create a crisp and cool environment while other spaces include covered outdoor seating and climbing plants. the surrounding landscape plan utilizes an agrarian pallet of working plants which includes espalier trees and massings of lavender. our plant selection aims to reflect the wine atmosphere of the country and contains multiple colors, textures, and heights to establish variation and depth.
