the Hope House of Colorado is a Denver based non-profit organization that is committed to providing a supportive and loving environment for teen moms and youth through housing ,GED and collegiate level education opportunities, childcare, and counseling services. their mission includes global outreach to improve the lives of both teen moms and their children. this touching and empowering mission is exactly what led our team at Three Sixty to join in the cause, providing pro bono landscape design services for the organization's new community and early development facilities in Westminister in the Fall of 2015. working with co-founder Lisa Steven, we were able to design landscape plans for the new Hope House campus, providing these youth with a beautiful place to live. in 2015 alone, the House set a record - impacting the lives of over 360 individuals including 153 moms and 230 children and hopes to impact more in 2016. our role in the design and development process was to create a planting plan that was native and low maintenance but provided maximum impact through color and density of plantings. the collaboration between teaching professionals, engineers, childcare providers, maintenance companies, and many other organizations, is helping the Hope House realize their vision for a new and inclusive campus that supports both mother and child. we look forward to seeing the development of this project and the impacts that it has on young mothers. stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
