lohi residence / 33rd ave.

a young and vibrant couple approach us to work on their single family home in the always popular lower highlands neighborhood of denver. we worked closely with the family to concept and develop both their front and backyard landscape spaces to maximize entertainmentopportunities and usage. the couple wanted to emphasize the clean and modern lines of the residence through the use of green wall screens for privacy and row plantings, utilizing native colorado fauna and flora. in the front yard we played with a meandering entry walkway and in-ground water feature to accentuate the clean lines of the home and to soften the edges of the property. we also looked at creating a circular lawn in the backyard to define the active spaces and again create a softer edge to contract the many sharp edges and lines of the home.
